Marinangeli
was born and raised in Rome, Italy, and has lived in Los Angeles for sixteen
years. Coming from a family of musicians and performers, his career in music
began at a very early age, first as an award-winning pianist, then as a
music director for many major European artists both on tour and in the recording
studio. Here in the United States he has expanded his formal musical expertise
by collaborating and studying film scoring and 20th century composition
with such composers/orchestrators as Ralph Ferraro and Hugo Davise. Marco
ís in-depth expertise in the fields of engineering and computer programming
is a necessary supplement to his music knowledge. Although his background
is classical, Marco's works have reached across the widest spectrum of musical
styles. His involvement in the entrepreneurial facet of the music industry has led him to establish a one-stop production company, Magelic Productions, Inc., offering a full-service solution for all music necessities, its affiliate company Dither Music Publishing Company (ASCAP), specializing in music licensing and publishing, and a record label, Compression Records™, concentrating on Electronica, Trip-Hop and Acid-Dance, thereby emphasizing the growing need for a redefinition of the music production and distribution system through exploitation of both traditional and electronic channels.
